Interactive biking or walking through Knokke-Heist
Online and offline experience
By inspiring their new cycling and walking routes through well-known social media platforms, the city council bridges the gap between the online and offline experience of the coastal municipality. Visitors can discover Knokke-Heist in a whole new way. After all, each platform has its own characteristics, which were used to the maximum in the choice of hotspots for the various routes. This way you will not only be pointed out the most beautiful places on the Instagram walking route, but you will also receive tips for taking the perfect photo. And with the TikTok cycling route, the whole family can get to work through the interactive ‘challenges’ that you have to perform on the way. The content (photos and videos) that people make during their journey can take on a life of its own online, via the social media accounts of the visitors and via the channels of Knokke-Heist itself.
An instagrammable center
In addition to the many photo-worthy spots that the municipality has, you will also find some brand new instawalls on the Instagram route. Knokke-Heist had no less than 10 new insta-worthy designs designed and placed in shopping streets. Young creatives such as Kaart Blanche, Skinn, Suzanne Akgun, Sissi Lauwers and Studio Caro went to work on designing the most beautiful decors for your photos and brightening up the center.
All routes can be found on the website and through the social media of Knokke-Heist. A paper route plan can be collected free of charge for each of the routes from the office of Tourism Knokke-Heist (Zeedijk 660). Via the #myKH you can share photos and videos for a chance to win a publication in the KH Magazine or on the social media channels of Tourism Knokke-Heist: Instagram: @myknokkeheist & Facebook: Knokke-Heist.
